I was always under the impression that many of these songs were actually Hindi songs, but I had no idea they were original Pakistani songs stolen by Indian film industry. There is almost 2 hours long documentary on Youtube about this.

Small clip bellow…funny thing is that many Indians are s surprised by this, too (see Youtube comments section).
