Re: India and Pakistan should jointly celebrate Sadat Hasan Manto centennial
I admire Manto. Thanks to TLK, I tried to read Thanda Gosht. But it convinced me once more that I am not the one who likes fiction. May be some other time.
But still, I would like to read Manto some time, only because he was Manto.
Re: India and Pakistan should jointly celebrate Sadat Hasan Manto centennial
Thanda Gosht is about extreme situation. Manto covered vast variety of subjects in his stories. :)
Re: India and Pakistan should jointly celebrate Sadat Hasan Manto centennial
I only went through the first page of that story. Did not finish it. So I am neither saying nor in a position to say whether it is good or bad. Even without reading I would say it should be good since it is from Manto.
