Yasir Shah the very popular model from Karachi, Pakistan came down to India nine months ago, seeking a career in acting.
The actor who made his television debut with Khwaish on Sony was in Mumbai this year on 15th August, India’s Independence Day. “This is the first time I got a chance to see the celebrations of Independence Day in India”, says the actor.
Recollecting the days when he moved to India, Yasir quips, “When I came down from Karachi to Mumbai, I found both the cities to be very much similar. Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day on August 14th, one day before India does. We too start out day there by hoisting flags in schools, colleges and in residential societies. Our celebration is more or less similar to what I saw here this year. To me, India and Pakistan are not two different countries, but one!!”
