Re: India admits to break up of Pakistan
good balanced post. we Pakistanis suffered in 71 as our country was split into 2 and we had an embarrassing defeat…so it is our national responsibility to do honest introspection as to why it happened. India, Pak army’s senior leadership, politicians in east and west pakistan, bureaucratic establishment, east pakistan militant groups, west pakistan militant groups (badar etc), media, all had a role in this catastrophic event. Right from 1947, series of events happened which separated east and west Pakistan from each other and caused more and more mistrust.
It is not as simple as “India did it, so lets forget everyone else and start glorifying culprits on our side”. huh…this is a new trend these days. Anyone who points out anything wrong in our army is labelled as unpatriotic ghadaar. People should not fall for this type of bullish behavior. I dont know what is the definition of liberal but none of us here on this forum belong to any NGO who takes funds from the West or Bharat.
We all love our country and we have every right to express our opinion on anything in a civilized manner. We all love, admire and respect all the sacrifices of our army jawans and its leadership in every war but it is also a fact that our army leadership chose to rule the country for over 30+ years and they will therefore be criticized for many national events that took place. That is a healthy and a mature attitude. if indians as a group glorify/defend everything related to their foreign policy, that is stupidity and not a healthy attitude.
