whoa- why would you say something like that retroguy? thats totally not true. its great that people get married and are couples, but i also think you need to maintain your own life and your own friends because sometimes, you just need a break. everybody needs their girlfriends/guyfriends to sit and ***** with- its human nature.
don't worry about it so much, stylobabe, eventually you and your hubby will find the balance thats just right for you and your relationship. it wont be about taking orders or being submissive or subjugated- it'll be about being part of a couple and wanting to do things for each other, with each other, and sometimes without each other. its all normal and its all good.
as for being bossed around, it wont happen unless he's a jackass and why would you marry a jackass, right? like sara said, marriage is about compromise. you give a little, he gives a little, life is good. if you're too stressed about these things and dont communicate properly with your hubby, you'll both be unhappy.

Hey i just saw all these posts.....i guess i was just passing thru a depressing face cuz i have really come out of it...thanks to all of u and RetroGuy Allah karai tumhai sahi Dadi begum milay who runs after u :P jk...... i beleive compromise is very important in a relationship. :)

hehehe look marraige is a gamble. If you know the guy and understand each other, it could be a gamble worth playing...because you would be more willing to compromise and make sacrifices for each other. But...if you DONT know the guy.....then may I suggest you get to know him in pre-marraige/engagment period....just so you know exactly how much you may have to "change yourself". Make an informed decision.
def agree with that...i dont buy the "risk" part....theres little risk because u can never know what a person is truly feeling, but u shoujld def make an INFORMED decision....hang out more, see what his habits are like, and defintaly ask questions!!! no one does that nowadays, try to find out how hed react in certain situations, say this is happening to a freind how would u react if that happened to you, etc......some guys are like that and some are not, but im seeing that they mostly are....def get to know him better!

Stylo relac u only change because of responsibilities or ur love for ur husband,Otherwise they cannot boss u around.Actually marriage is a name of mutual understanding and no one boss around anyone.Husbands do things for u too.:) And sachi mein engagement se pehle is baat ka andaza nahi hota u have to trust each other.

Please don’t over esitmate your importance in the grand scheme of things. People need their space. Your husband would be extremely happy to have you spend time with your family. You never know, he might wish that you premanently stayed there.
