From the perspective of people living outside the US, it has mostly been a militaristic bully that has directly and indirectly caused the deaths of millions of civilians since WWII in all regions of the world including South East Asia, Far East, South America, Middle East and South Asia.

They were able to wage a war is testament to the liberties they enjoy. The 2nd amendment is still alive and well.

As for the militaristic bully, are you going to hold it against the US that they do what they do to protect their interests? Every nation in every age has done it.

PS: The core principle of US foreign policy is self-interest. Not justice. Once you start thinking about it in those terms, a lot of what they do will make sense. We all would like it to be justice, but it just isnt.
