Freedom for its citizens. You can root for any foreign president and say obama murdabad without a sedition charge brought against you. You can marry the person of your choice without the fear of getting stoned outside a courthouse in front of the police. You can follow any religion you want, without getting sentenced to death. Nobody will slog you if you are not fasting. You fast only for the sake of Allah ta’aala. Not for the fear of some religious police. You have all kinds of rights that in most countries you cannot even think of.

PS: I must add, it is still the land of opportunity. You have to live it to know it.

That amount of freedom is found in most non-Muslim countries today. Nothing special about the Us. Isn’t it?

I don’t want to make it an America bashing thread. But this stuff about land of opportunity is just a slogan today. Today there is very little movement in social classes in the US. Rich stay rich. Poor stay poor. In most cases.
