Independence Day Celebration: August 11-17: Poetry Contest Closed

Salam guys.

Once again the blessed month of August is here. In this month Allah rewarded Pakistan to Muslim’s of subcontinent. Don’t take this freedom for granted, our ancestors paid a hefty price for it. My heart aches at my dear country’s current sitution, but hope is one thing which i can never give up and nor should you.

Lets pray to Allah to make Pakistan the way Iqbal envisioned, a Muslim state without prejuduce and hate. where fellow human’s life has meaning and respect. One is superior to other only for his deeds not for his money.

Independence Day celebrations are starting on August 11 to August 17 on all over the gupshup. We are holding a poetry contest as usual; please start submitting your entries on the given dates. This time we are not having any judges to pick the winner we are letting you” the public”, pick the winner. So we are going to have a poll. Please submit one vote per id.

If you guys have any suggestions or questions please feel free contact me or nikamijano.

I am sharing my all times favorite poem..

Khuda Karay Ke Meri Arz-e-Pak Per Utray

Khuda Karay Ke Meri Arz-e-Pak Per Utray
Wo Fasl-e-Gul Jisay Andesha-e-Zawaal Na Ho

Yahan Jo Phool Khilay, Khila Rahay Sadi’on
Yahan Khizaan Ko Guzarnay Ki Bhi Majaal Na Ho

Yahan Jo Sabza Ugay, Hamesha Sabz Rahay
Aur Aisa Sabz Ke Jis Ki Koi Misaal Na Ho

Khuda Karay Ke Na Kham Ho Sir-e-Waqar-e-Watan
Aur Is Ke Husn Ko Tashweesh-e-Mah-o-Saal Na Ho

Her Aik Fard Ho, Tahzeeb-o-Fun Ka Oaj-e-Kamaal
Koi Malool Na Ho, Koi Khasta Haal Na Ho

Khuda Karay Ke Meray Aik Bhi Hum’Watan Ke Leay
Hayaat Jurm Na Ho, Zindagi Wabaal Na Ho

Khuda Karay Ke Meri Arz-e-Pak Per Utray
Wo Fasl-e-Gul Jisay Andesha-e-Zawaal Na Ho

(Aameen)

Poet: Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi (Late)

I wish k Allah Ta’ala iss poem main ki gai her duaa ko qubool farmaye (Aameen) aur hamaray Watan ko hamesha aabaad rakhay (Aameen)..

every one has good choice ;)

**Let’s share the Pride of having a **
free land on this day of Independence..

Pakistan is one of the biggest Muslim states in the world today. The country emerged out of the Indian sub-continent on the map of the world in 1947. The country has a majority of muslim population. Pakistan celebrates its independence on the 14th of August every year.

The word ‘Pakistan’ has been coined from the names of those regions that make up this nation - Punjab, Afgan Border States, Kashmir, Sind and Baluchistan. Even after 1947, Pakistan remained a dominion for nine years. It was only on the 23rd of March, 1956, that the country was declared an Islamic Republic. East Pakistan broke away and proclaimed sovereignty of the Republic of Bangladesh in 1971.

..::..Pakistan’s 61 years on August 14, 2008..::..

Today, the nation comprises of the major provinces - Sind, Baluchistan, Punjab and the North West Frontier Province along with the Federal Capital and other tribal areas. The tribal areas coming under the government of Pakistan are Khyber, Kurram, Malakand, Mohmand, North Wazirstan and South Wazirstan. The capital city of the country is ‘Islamabad’.

..::..The National Anthem..::..

When Pakistan was created in 1947, the country did not have any national anthem. Then, in late 1949, it was announced that the late Shah of Iran was to pay a state visit to Pakistan (the first by any foreign head of state).

..::.. The National Flag..::..

Pakistani’s are very proud of the flag and display it everywhere. I was amazed at how many Pakistani flags I saw flying from private homes, even out in the country side.

..::..The Quaid’s Last Message On 14 August..::..

It was, therefore, with a sense of supreme satisfaction at the fulfillment of his mission that Jinnah told the nation in his last message on 14 Aug, 1948..

In accomplishing the task he had taken upon himself on the morrow of pakistan’s birth, Jinnah had worked himself to death, but he had, to quote Richard symons..

“Contributed more then any other man
to pakistan’s survival.”

He died on 11 september, 1948. How true was lord Pethick Lawrence, the former secretary of state of India, when he said..

“Gandhi died by the hands of an assassin,
Jinnah died by his devotion to Pakistan.”

Its more Important to love our country then our city or town. We should work much harder for the sake of our country. May Allah gives prosperity and stability to our country…Aameen!!

Quaid-e-Azam give us the principle of Unity, Faith, and discipline to make Pakistan great..

“With faith, Discipline and Selfless devotion to duty,
there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.”

A journey of 61 years, And still so many tears in so many eyes
But yet Pakistan smiles for this country is like a child whose innocence never dies.

Roshan mairi aankhon mein wafa k jo diye hain, sab taire liye hain..
