Stop calling this game a “war” - This is just a cricket game. Yes it’s a very important game between two rivals in the WC. But it’s still just a game. The players are actually friendly with each other. Comparing this with a War where soldiers lose their lives and families are destroyed because of what politicians sitting in Delhi and Islamabad want… this is an insult. Stop using the word “war” please.
Stop taking everything the media says literally - There are dozens of news channels in India and quite a few in Pakistan. Many of them are fighting to get attention and increase their revenue. The result is cheap coverage, exaggeration or misleading of quotes and unecessary pokes at the other country. Do we have to follow these fools and get involved in this nonsense?
Excessive chest thumping and flag waiving - What is the point of this? Making exaggerated claims OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Ki fayeda? It’s not just you Cricketnamaers. It’s all over my FB too. 1000s of comments repeating the same sht 'WE WILL BEAT YOU"…“NO WE WILL BEAT YOU”…
Nonstop calls to the Almighty - I sure hope that if there is a God/Bhagwaan/Allah .. he/she/it has better things to do with their time than alter conditions to favour one sporting team over another.
I’m sorry if this sounds like whining but I just had to put it out there. This WC has been awesome. Specially compared with the last 2007 one. Not only because India and Pak got bumped early back then.. but because there have been so many quality close games.. grounds have been packed and there has been no real farces. The only farce so far is the retarded reactions I am seeing from fans and media to this upcoming SF game.
I don’t expect this thread to tone down the insanity that has taken over Cricketnama in the last few days. I’m sure it will continue.. and go on for another week or two after the Wednesday game. I find it annoying and dumb..which is why I will be doing my best to stay away. You all enjoy the madness.
It is an exciting game for both countries so obviously there's a lot of josh and jazbaa in the air. What I don't like is both countries' media putting each other down. I was watching a WC special programme on ARY and they kept dissing the Indian media which btw is busy dissing the Pakistani team and making false accusations of match-fixing etc.
People need to treat this like a sport and not get so egoistic over it. Chill and enjoy! As for making duas, sorry sharabee but there's going to be plenty more! :p
Personally I don't like bringing duas into sport. But I'm a passionate supporter and when it comes to moments like this, the duas somehow force their way into my thoughts.
Beside false match fixing accusation by some media outlets and ministers, the atmosphere is perfect for a high-voltage game. The stakes are high so there is always a fear of losing which makes one to brag more than his chest can handle (but we all know the strengths and weaknesses of each team) so all will be revealed on Wed eve. A WC match b/w Ind/Pak generates the energy which can't be matched.
Just coz we are not on the cricket forum 365 days a year does not mean we are temporary fans…so you take a chill pill
and I think everyone is having fun just teasing each other…what is the big deal…let them have their fun..and there was only one person who would always make personal attacks..and I dnt see that person the cricket forum anymore…so everything seems to be fine. Pakistan vs India semi-final does not happen everyday :k:
