Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

I’m seriously pissed off today. i mostly watch dramas online but today when i was watching Kitni girhain baqi hain’s epi Bisaat my 7 yrs old joined in and even after several hushes she won’t go. anyways the scenes b/w shamoon n mehwish were inappropriate and i had to skip them coz of her.

I mean wats the point of discouraging ur kids watching bollywood crap when ur own dramas continously follow their foot-steps. its no more family entertainment.

Also all these senior artists mahnoor, nauman ijaz, shamoon , mehwish etc don’t hav any sense in them? they should not be promoting vulgar romance on tv. even with humsafer and maat all these stories r clearly mature. i hav stopped watching moray piya n kaafir i never know how to answer her whys?

Isn’t their a way where viewers can voice their opinion and more family oriented dramas be made? can’t we, GS members sign a petition for this like we did for Maya’s show.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

I just saw this too, the scene where they're lying in in the same bed cuddling? Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that since usually those scenes are kept for the Lollywood movies. And any bed scenes in dramas usually don't have the couple too close let alone being affectionate. It's common in the movies but television usually always has a stricter policy whether it's in Pakistan or India. I remember studying in my university class how during the 60s when Addams Family would come on TV, them showing a single bed for the couple's bedroom was scandalous at the time when normally they would show separate beds, even for married couples. Of course, things as far as nudity and sex were quite common in Hollywood. My point= television is always more conservative and more strict in censorship.

That being said, we cannot ban things like that off TV because not everything has to be family-oriented all the time. The entertainment industry is not just for families. Nothing we can do about it, really.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

Btw, my mom mentioned she had done quite bold scenes w/ Abid Ali in Masi Aur Malka, anyone know why they were "bold"?

Totally agree. There were scenes maat between Faisal and Saba qamar to show love between husband and wife. It was not really necessary! I more interested in learning abt relationship. You are totally right about Kitni giri . We don't need to see these scenes to understand drama

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

yes but these days most dramas r not kid appropriate. also since these dramas r not rated u never know wats coming up. i mean pak dramas were not like that. u could easily let ur kids see them but not any more. even we watched a lot as kids. also i rememered as being young z-tv n sony would telecast some mature dramas only after 10pm and it was mentioned they were for adult audience.

M_was_here the scenes u posted r still ok but the ones at the end of epi. they were too much including the expressions.

Oh, I'm still in the middle of the episode, watching it now.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

she also did pretty vulgar scenes in thori si wafa

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

Oh, that end scene, lol. My mom said the exact same thing you said, @Mabrook. It was definitely intense but nothing too vulgar.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

OMG me and hubz were saying the same thing while watching this drama... He doesn't watch dramas that much and he was surprised. Some actors/directors/producers seriously dont know the limits.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

dude seriously how is that not vulgar??? its beyond vulgar…what do u want them to start making out on tv too?..even though that was the next step
dont forget this is paki tv and last time i checked pakistan was an islamic republic! i think there are rules about mahrams and na mehrams…jus sayin

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

True say.

We're selling our deen for money and fame.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

aj kal qavi sahab vulgar scene kar rahai hain:D just saw his drama ,my dear sotan...and guzrai tou jaan sai guzar gai something!!

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

unnecessary. Shamoon loves doing such scenes.

the girl can't even acttt. :(

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

^She's the highest paid actress in the Pakistani television industry so obviously she has some skills.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

if u notice that some actors continously do these sort of scenes like mehwish n shamoon i think the blame goes more on them than the directors. when actors agree only then these scenes r created. for instance watch "Qissa char darwaish" its all abt husband-wife realtionship, asif having not 1 but 4 wives but its baihodgi-free. my daughter watches this show everytime i watch it n never once i was embarrased.
again when i was watching moray piya and that rape scene occured she was around. she didn't understand much but her whys kept embarrasing me and though i mostly stay open with my kids i had to tell her lies. but i'm sure a kid around 11-12 would easily guess wats going on and its a shame.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

^uhh. i saw no talent. maybe she's paid for doing such scenes.

who is she? never even seen her in a good drama.

Re: Increasing vulgarity in pak dramas

yes her only talent is her extra boldness n pretty face. acting skills close to zero.
