Sometimes you have a relationship with a na-mehram that is very brotherly-sisterly.
How do you explain it when a na-mehram takes you on hajj with him and his family as “his sister”? I see this happening all the time in Pakistan, especially with women who might be single and never got married - they’ll go to Umrah or Hajj with a BIL who is taking them “as his sister”.
Same thing. Sometimes you develop close relationships to people around you - doesn’t mean you’re trampling on the guy’s wife.
Only insecure women get really uppity about their men keeping contact with female family members. There should be no issue if he keeps in touch with his friends, regardless of gender. And an Eid hug is an Eid hug. I hug lots of people on Eid; doesn’t mean I like them.
