It has become fashion on internet chat/forums to blow emotions, out of proportion.
For instance we mostly smile or keep staight face while reading or writing something, but i see some people use use expresion like Laughing Out Loud or Rolling On The Floor in every sentence or every other sentence whereas a ‘simple’ or ‘grin’ was suffice. (remebering Munni smile )
And also in my opion the word ‘cute’ is used so extensively that it has lost its meaning. For instance a grown up lady should not be reffered as cute, but due to lack of care and vocabolary we use it often for everything.
A grown up lady should be complimented as rose petal, intoxicating wine, sensual piece of art, absorbing, charming, gorgeous, delicate, arousing, sugur puff, apple pie, cream roll etc. etc
Also important here to note that while giving compliments that it should compliment the personality of that lady as well.
For instance you may call MehnazQ as charming and stimulating apple pie
but on the other hand you should call Femme Fatale as ‘sweet patato’
As every girl has different chemistery. We require different chemical reation to get the required stimulus

There is a "smile" emoticon and a LOL and ROTFL and khekhe and about a dozen others to show you are really happy! Most people do use them appropriately.
