When some documents is required from the applicant and you tell him/her to complete all formalities. Your intention is to deal all cases of every individual equally with Justice. Another person approached to you by the reference of your superior. You told your superior that these documents are required for further process but your superior say, ‘You just do it, later, we’ll see/complete the formalities.
In this situation, suddenly you think about the first person who wasn’t having any approach/references, you want to help him/her but you couldn’t because on incomplete documents. In another hand’s superior’s person done the same work without completing all other formalities.
A voice from inside tone you that this is wrong but you are bound to do it otherwise you’ll going to lose your job.

Exactly FD! i agree with u and T100. I did once like that, in a week i had bundels of incomplete documents at my desk. Now i hav to call those customers to provide me this and that documents.

Follow the rule of law. Hopefully you aren't working in Pakistan, but remain equal standards amongst all clients. You will earn far more respect in the office.
@Archangel even ur boss knw ur right and he's wrong, but by thinking his value as boss there are many others way he'll disturb u.
P.S. No i don't live in pak :)
If this example is not of Pakistan, then I say stick to the rules and your guns. Degrading your moral fibre is not worth it just for the sake of something as petty as this. Sure it would be rough but you would be tougher and better for it.
