I would believe it would be a good idea to take a test drive of the merchandise in an arranged marriage. You know to make sure everything functions under the hood, all is good with the clutch and breaks. Its a nice smooth ride.

When I go for a test drive I do so with the car on display - but then I get a new model delivered to my house ... Trust me ... those cars that are test driven will be driven by others before you and others after you ... The real feeling of delight is to take home the model car that gets delivered with zero mileage on the clock ...
So often I have heard people arguing for the test drive - but they reall ydon't get it ... never do they really buy the test car ... they may however, get a new one like it. And if they want the ex-display ... they pay a lot less for it too ... because it is to all extents and purposes ... second hand ...

Not just suspense, think of the fact that car will have legitimate reason to decline a "buy" post test-drive.

Its so easy to fall in love with wrong car during test drive…specially in presence of those pushy ‘salesmen’
So I am sort of lay back, read reviews, features and then buy instead of just test drive.

yeh bhi hai. and some cars are expensive in term of maintenance. make sure it is within budget and affordable.

odometers are easily rolled back, my frand. it is ultimately all in your head. some people will be happy with a jalopy, others will return a 0 meter car a dozen times before switching to a bicycle.
