In the name of security ?

Since security of USA is a hot topic now a days, the new thing hey introduced is Passport with chip that holds all the personal data & background of the holder. I am personally againt the idea of my state sharing my National insurance (Social security) number and my tax personal details with other state only because I am visiting that other state for business or pleasure purpose.

What I think that in the name of security, or alternatively to secure the liberty of normal humans our (normal humans) liberty is at risk by sharing our personal things with others or even making them public.

What is the guarantee that this personal information is not used against us? Where are the privacy laws? Even though banks & credit cards companies try their best to protect the interest of their customers/consumers yet the credit fraud exist? What is the guarantee that hackers will not break into these new passport chips, since passport is used as ID in several countries?

Do you really think is it a good idea to have something like that?

Re: In the name of security ?

I totally agree with you on this but some mainstream Neo-Con Zombie followers here will disagree with you. According to them “Its all good. The Government wants to protect you from terrorist. We all need to be implanted by microchip for our own safety”. Just read about this stupid family who has volunteered to get implants. What a bunch of idiots.

Re: In the name of security ?

its not a good idea but I actually really don't care. I mean they will do whatever without considering anything so why care and why being worried.
I'm sure that they use all our data anyways to keep an eye on us.

Re: In the name of security ?

Now that is just ridiculous. I’m sure, that family was paid millions for that stupid chip.
