'In The Line Of Fire' (Merged)

After reading some excerpts of his memoir “In The Line Of Fire”, the General has lost all credibility, if he had any, in my eyes. This chatter box lies through his teeth and lives in a make-believe world. He thinks he can deceive the whole world through his distorted facts and twisted arguments. The whole world knows what happened on the heights of Kargil, but instead of accepting the responsibilty of the Kargil debacle this goon is still adamant and trying to fool the people of Pakistan. Sharif violated the constitution when he tried to oust the “great” genaral and what the great General later did was not against the constitution. Another goon AQ Khan smuggled the 18 tonnes equipment withoug anyone noticing, Bhutto was responsible for Pakistan’s break-up, Sharif was resposible for Kargil and yada, yada, yada. What a jerk!

Re: In The Line Of Fire

:hmmm: I’d love to read the book.

Re: In The Line Of Fire

From Delhi to DC this is the book everyone is talking about, and wants to buy. Indian’s, army haters and self-exiled Pakistani politicians all loathe Musharraf but all are wanting to read this book. The more Musharraf-haters seeth at all the attention Musharraf sahib is getting the more one is emboldened to read the book of this true Pakistani hero. Long live Musharraf, and may he continue to rule and rule for many more years. :k: :jhanda:

Re: In The Line Of Fire

^^

Musharraf is probably the best leader we have had in our history....

Here is a guy who goes to USA and instead of getting drilled by the media as to why he made a peace treaty with the Taliban comes out dancing and promoting his new book. He appeared on 60 minutes, Charlie Rose and will appear tomorrow on Daily Show with Jon Stewart...

All this means good publicity for Pakistan...

Re: In The Line Of Fire

I am convinced his books original title was masters not friends as a sequel to Ayub Khans ghost written book. An obvious comment to the US's relationship with Mush :D

Re: In The Line Of Fire

US media thrives on sensationalism. Even Paris Hilton & Anna Nicole Smith had their day on the media :D

Re: In The Line Of Fire

^^^ Yea but previous lame A$$es didnt even created any positive sensation about Pakistan at any platform let alone attention.

Re: In The Line Of Fire

Actually this a rebutal to Ayub Khan's Masterns not friends and I think another title more in line with yours would have been...Slaves and Swines...

Re: In The Line Of Fire

well he did lie about a couple of things there.first of all that kargil was not a failure because of his policy and secondly, that he did'nt know anything about what A.Q was upto with regard to nuclear secrets being sold off to other countries. It was a well-known fact all through out Pakistan that A.Q khan who has been living a lavish life style was indeed involved in smuggling of nuclear technology long time before I.A.E.A and Americans caught him,so for him to be saying that he was'nt aware of it is definitely a lie.But having said that i think most heads of states lie about something, even the likes of Clinton,Nixon etc have lied about a lot of things in their books. So don't just take it out on Mushy,he is the best you can get in Pakistan, the people before him were much worse.

Re: In The Line Of Fire

1.5 million copies sold so far - it is fast shooting up the best sellers list. :k:

All copies completely sold out in NWFP province, and people all over Pakistan are hungry to get a copy of the President’s book.

Musharraf memoirs set for best-seller list in India

The President’s book has sure fired up the Indian’s. :k: :jhanda:

Re: In The Line Of Fire

musharraf is the greatest thing that has ever happened to pakistan since natural gas was discovered in Sui. So shut up you hatters and start respecting!..

Re: In The Line Of Fire

:hehe:

Re: In The Line Of Fire

:hoonh:

Re: In The Line Of Fire

But i'm not happy that he has said Pakistan was not operational w.r.t to nukes during '99. According to critics, it's a state secret and an official during his/her service is NOT supposed to expose state secrets.

Re: In The Line Of Fire

An official should also be democratically elected...
I think its all fair game... but yeah ethicaly he should have waited for this info to be public.

Re: Musharraf memoirs set for best-seller list in India

general who refused to accept the bodies of his soldiers .... shame on him.

I think compilation of practicle jokes by Mush surely going to be a best seller ...

Re: Musharraf memoirs set for best-seller list in India

Manmahon Singh (the half a Prime Minister as some in India call him) came to America and nobody even noticed him.

Musharraf has come to town and everyone who is everyone wants to meet him! Millions are queuing up all over the world to buy his book.

This is sure burning up the Indian’s, and that is as much fun to watch.

Musharraf you rock. Long may you rule! :jhanda:

Re: Musharraf memoirs set for best-seller list in India

I'm sick of this rhetoric abt 'the general who didnt accept his fallen soldiers...'
Get a life. Of course during battle diplomatic statements differ from post ceasefire commentary. And that has been the same throughout the history of warfare.

As for accepting the fallen; two Nishan-i-Haiders were awarded, one of them was Capt Sher Khan whose body was recvd accompanied by a letter from the Indian CO of the Bn facing him, reccomending a galantry award. This was proudly reported by all media. There were numerous Sitara-e-Jurats awarded, the COAS personally visited many families of martyrs. All this has been reported in the print/electronic media since July 1999 and PTV aired a programme on satelite in Sep 1999 called *"Mohabbat humein Un Jawano se hai" *and the whole world was told again how the govt, the entire nation, the armed forces, the politicians included (along with PM Sharif who it's said had no clue what was going on round him), showed the world how the fallen soldiers were slauted, respected and remembered.

Read Pakistan's unbiased history and put some God given logic to it, and decide who's who in Pakistan's almanac of evildoers. Musharraf would always rank very low compared to the many titans.

Re: In The Line Of Fire

True Babuji, but sensationalism can only be created by the sensational, hence Karzai or Manmohan couldnt stir any
