In the image of our parents

How much of our personalities are shaped by the influence of our parents? How much of a reflection of our parents are we? Have they shaped your idea of the basic emotion like love, hate or formation of relationships and friendships?

Are you a reflection of your parents?

Re: In the image of our parents

yes totally. a child is a reflection of his or her parents.

Re: In the image of our parents

^ Speaks volumes… :hehe:

Re: In the image of our parents

Matsui mind it okay. You're stepping beyond your bounds this time. Please behave yourself. Joke with someone who likes it. I don't appreciate your cheap sense of humor.

Re: In the image of our parents

^ Have you bought Shiv Shankar brand Ghee yet? :hehe:

Re: In the image of our parents

Irem,

Have you serious considered your reply before hitting the ‘Submit Reply’ button?

Eons ago, in Pakistan, and probably in India as well, every grade school’s student’s essay (on any topic) ended with a paragraph on their patriotism i.e. love of their country. Nobody ever thought that it was absolutely unnecessary but the students deemed it their ‘patriotic’ duty to parrot their patriotism. Now, this reply of yours reminds me of those essays.

Look why Matsui is goofing on you…

Re: In the image of our parents

 Matsui, please get a life.

LI well I had written a long reply before but edited it coz it was too personal. Anyways, I do think that a child is a reflection of his or her parents. It was not meant to be a parrot reply. As for Matsui, in case you haven’t noticed he derives some kind of enjoyment by bugging me in every thread.

Re: In the image of our parents

Irem Baji Matsui is right logically, but I am sure he is kidding. I have a question what happens when the child grows up? Whose reflection does he acquire?

Re: In the image of our parents

Kashif Raja you have been away from Gupshup and you don't know about Matsui's posts in my threads so don't bother talking about this. He deliberately tries to bother me each time, for years now, and I always brush aside his comments no matter how ugly they are but he really crossed his limits this time.

Anyways....mitti pao. Allah hidayat de ga.

Back to your question: A child always has some traits of his parents personality because they are the ones who impart the tarbeeyat to him, when he grows up he builds on his childhood personalities, don't acquire new ones, so that carries over.

I'm leaving the office now. Laterz. Allah Hafiz.

Re: In the image of our parents

Irem, what you find offensive is different from what I find offensive. Your idiotic comments like these.. ""Faisal bhai u r right, pakistanis will also be selling their stuff in india...cool...hmmm...but can u imagine going to ur neighborhood shop in clifton and seeing "indian" products on the shelves with pics of bhagwaan and hindu writing on them sigh is this the kind of stuff our kids will see growing up???"" are deeply offensive..

I cannot attribute this to Stanford,a s I know people from Stanford, including the dean of the B School (if you need help). I can however, attribute this to your upbringing and when you say that you are a reflection of your parents...then Sorry if it hurts..but your parents are closed minded fools. Unless you are not a reflection of your parents..

Re: In the image of our parents

Matsui, when our Prophet (saw) went to a place called Taif to preach, children threw stones at him (saw) till his shoes were filled with his blood. The angel Jibraaeel came and asked him (saw) if he (saw) wanted punishment for the people of Taif. He (saw) only asked Allah to guide them and I pray the same to Allah for you.

:flower2: All the best.

And no I don’t need any help from you with the dean. Thanks for the offer though.

Re: In the image of our parents

^ take a printout of this thread and show it to you daddy. If he agrees with you then my beliefs are valid. I hope he doesn't, for his sake.

Re: In the image of our parents

I’m out for the day. Bye. May God help you.

Re: In the image of our parents

shukar hey, personal larai tou khatam houi, thread was about something else though.

on picture of Bhagwans Irem is absolutely right, if Indian and Pakistani companies want to sell, then they may have to take care about sentiments of the target market and localise product marketing, branding and packing etc. it shouldnt be taken as offensive comment.

about the thread, yes most people do inherit personal attributes of parents.
I have many qualities of my father and some of my mother.

Re: In the image of our parents
