I have come across many more different syles than these. I can’t tell you what is the correct way to wear a dupatta as there are also many of those, but these represent how I believe the dupatta is NOT to be worn. The dupatta is more than just a piece of cloth. It hides behind it the honor and pride of an entire family (and in some cases culture). In its feminity it cradles the modesty, splendour and mystique that is the Pakistani woman. Men and women have died in preserving its honor, (although not like in the Punjabi movies. OYE!:)). It is a flag of rebellion, prestige and dignity, and in our culture speaks volumes.
In Islam women must hide her body so the man can’t see any part n shape as well !
Most important here is outfit, women must not wear any tight clothes,
dopatta is only wore in our culture, but if a woman is covering her hairs and chest already with any scarf or shawl, no need of dopatta…
It look more beautiful if girls do wear dopatta, but the way they are wearing now a days, has no meaning… girls should elaborate it!
Every one is responsible for thier own act, don’t listen to me or any one,
judge yourself by your ownself according to Quraan n Hadees,
Rememebr woman’s beauty is in her sharm-o-haya only…
It also applies to boys as well, but for right now we were talking about girls…
Allah ham sab ko hidayat day aamin
