Atlantis you seem to have some attitude issues. do you want copyrights to this thread? it was made sticky so ppl in this section could actually start talking of positive things with a positive outlook and stop fighting and getting IMMATURE and KIDDISH over non-issues. you did a good thing for once opening a non-contentious thread without shedding evil against pakistan but it seems you're regretting it...?

Modjeee, to quote Ehsanjee, chill a bit will ya? No problem making it a sticky - stick away all you want! I just thought it was funny (I like observing little nuances in kids' attitudes) you'd add some words to what I wrote. In this case it's ok I think but it's a dangerous practice to use others' name to say what you want to say.
When you add phrases like "...an optimistic look", it somehow makes what we all wrote In Praise of Pakistan seem like images through rosy glasses. In other words, your appendage takes away from the spirit of the thread.
Peace and I hope you understand the real nature of what I am objecting to instead of jumping all over on an assumption.
PS. why is it you and I end up arguing everywhere? Cut me some slack please!

ooooh yeah! that’s something I miss in the west - even for the simplest problem, it’s easier and cheaper to throw the old and get a new one! In India (like in pakistan), there are mechanics that can fashion a ar engine from wooden sticks and wheel grease!

most websites have a negative pessimistic view. many crib abt india this and india that. some complain abt problems in pakistan itself. this website is unique because it reports all the good news only about pakistan. i too believe that positiveness can help a lot in building a stronger pakistan :smooth:

what has spolied the so called 'spirit' of this thread...? as far as can be made out it was meant to 'praise pakistan'. the purpose of the thread was made more versatile and hence a complete title given to make ppl think of the pluses instead of the minuses that haunt everyone, and for some reason you indians more than pakistanis.
if your 'spirit' of this thread was to 'praise' pakstan in a diff, perhaps sacrcastic way, i'm afraid it won't be allowed or tolerated, not in this thread, not in this section and not on the entire forum...its just not our policy.
i'm sure all others thought the purpose of the thread was the same as i did, you seemed to have diff motives. youre welcome to stop posting and we can try and foucus a bit on the positives of our lives and country as Pakistanis.

I think some people are still scarred by the defeat at Kolkata so theyre just being sore losers. Don't get me wrong hey im as paki as anyone can get.
By the way did anyone ever figure out that that whole Inzimam and Ganguly in mughal outfits ad campaign? That that ad ever air on TV in india yet? If so im dying to see what its about!

Here is my reason for being optamistic about Pakistn... In fact, its reason to be proud even now...
We have free and vibrant media, that arent afraid to voice their oppinion...
Our people are eager to voice their oppinions, and arent afraid to critisize.
Our people are free to protest, unlike in many other countries..
Our people are genuinly nice and hospitable.
GUPSHUP is a testement to free speech among Pakistanis... People here express their oppinions regardless of who they are even if they happen to be Indian. If you go to other sites that are run by non Pakistanis, such free speech is attacked and your liable to get kicked off. No offence to the Indians but your forums arent always so welcoming despite being the Democratic people that you are...
