In my thread “In praise of CRICINFO” - some of you pointed out that Cricketnama was as good a Pakistani Cricket Website as any other. I disagree but only because it is a discussion forum and not a Cricinfo-kind of site.
Having said the above - let me say that GUPSHUP beats any Indian Discussion Forum (that I have come across) hands down.
I also agree 100% with my Pak friends here who say that the liberty that Indians enjoy here on this forum is unimazinable for Pakistanis on Indian forums (fora ?). I believe this is due to 2 reasons :
(1) Pakistanis easily get overwhelmed by the sheer number of Indians on the web (not to mention an Indian Discussion Forum). And the fact that India has an army of Software Engineers with easy 24 hrs access to the net does not help.
(2) Indians tend to be more emotional than Pakistanis and consider themselves the “victim” party vis-a-vis Pakistan. Some of my Indian friends here might disagree on this point.
Anyways, bottom-line : Cricketnama(and by extension Gupshup) Rocks !!
though I did not participate actively during this match series, I have been regularly visiting the board. I find Cricketnama on Gupshup as one of the best discussion boards.
. South indians code all day long they dont have time to discuss crap on message boards, they are barely human. North indians sit infront of a phone and a ticket inputting screen all day they dont have the time to itch their ass at call centers. So … . yes there are a couple of indians that are CEO’s of big corporations and they do have all the time in the world cause they dont do shiet.
You really think so, take a trip to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Nasik, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Trivendrum, Calcutta, Gurgaon or many upcoming IT centers to check out the life style of these S/W engineers… Its lots of fun, only challenge if any is red eye shifts, though compensated big time for that…
Coming back to GupShup, I have said in past, it just the best organized site I have ever seen. Simple to understand, and get used to..

beats any Indian site that I have come across. And while there are the staunch India haters as well as Hindu haters who are too emotional to make any sense, they are more than compensated by the Pakistanis who to be frank have amazed me with their sportsmanship. Kudos to Ehsan and the rest who are responsible for this site (of course to Pakistanis in general as well)
I totally agree with Rahul and Some1 etc. This is one of the best discussion forum that I have visited. Thats probably the reason I am still here after 4 years ( ofcourse with different nicks). I am addicted to it plus it is so much fun to piss of some of you. :D
I have visited some discussion forums now and then and found them either too clumsy , too strict , too ugly or too kiddish.
i too agree....this is the best discussion forum for cricket with a healthy ratio of people frm both sides...
also,where else do u find ppl like ASN posting hilites immediately after the match regardless of the result...

That thought crossed my mind also a few times. Must appreciate ASN and others for this.
When India loses - I, on the other hand, get upset enough to not want to spend time discussing it on Gupshup. This is where I can learn a thing or two from ASN, Dhobi_bhai etc.
Gain back the test series? When did you lose the series against England? The last time India-England played the series, it ended in 1-1 draw, and the only chuckcer I remember playing in that series was Harbhajan:D, who by the way was reported atleast twice for chucking since than:cb:
