If it has not been discussed already, I would like to introduce another excellent Pakistani-American writer: Daniyal Mueenuddin. I had the chance to read his newest book “In Other Rooms, Other Wonders” on a transatlantic flight. Although I always try to support Pakistani writers, I was very pleasantly surprised to find his writing to be excellent as well. Without giving too much away, I would say that th book is a series of short stories, giving multi-faceted view of Pakistani society.

Any body heard about Daniyal Mueenuddin, the latest Pakistani literary sensation? His first book composed of short stories started a bidding war between 13 major US and UK publishers.

Three of his short stories were published in the newyorker.
