In MQM men like...

him gets killed

Re: In MQM men like...

Azeem Ahmed Tariq
I had the pleasure of knowing this kind, gentle yet highly intelligent soul back in my days in Karachi university. Azeem Bhai was lawys highly regarded by friend and foe for his political maturity and intellectual style of politics. It was mostly his thought process which was then translated into the early works of APMSO then MQM literature.

Azeem Bhai was many things, a politician, elderly brother, political guide, philosopher, a good listener, thinker and then most of all extremely loyal to the cause and his people.

Last time I met Azeem Bhai was 1981, those were my last days in Karachi University as I headed to the more lucrative frontiers of busines administration. We parted not knowing which path each of was to take, but with the knowledge each had their personal responsibilities and priorities. Azeem Bhai continued with his political struggle and what happened to him is part of Pakistani history.

I still remember Azeem Bhai, a kind and gentle soul, may his soul rest in peace and his family find peace and justice.

Re: In MQM men like...

Not just him,MQM have killed thousands of people, including mohajirs

Re: In MQM men like...

^ That's what happens with no regards for laws and morals in a country!

Actually, I think this is the big turning point which effectively saw the end of literate urdu speaking leadership of MQM and degenerating to ghundas of korangi, malir and whatnot!

I also believe that altaf actually acquired feudalistic egocentric traits. He might have thought that he might lose power to such a charming personality so he chose to eliminate it. Power play at its best I say!

Re: In MQM men like…

did you happen to know any 1 of the politically active Pakhtuns in that university? if so, then ill ask u the name!

Re: In MQM men like...

Yaar, that was a longtime ago....we had the BBQ Tonight brothers, then some Jamaati (Pakhtoon) friends, sorry finding it difficult to remember their names right now, but will try and come back to you. Politically active Pakhtoons were mostly leftwing or nationalists party members, very few were found in right wing parties, that was then, today probably its a different situation.
