Re: in laws problems?
umm sometime!
Well there are somethings that I would offer to help with.
I consider my in laws family but I would mostly offer the type of things like money or any other material (and maybe even emotional) support that I'm capable of offering. I would not get involved in their family politics or anything like that.
Thats wonderful you feel that way.
The thing is, for men its a bit different. Men never really get involved in family politics to begin with so its not an issues. Even if you say something, it gets dismissed as "mardon ko ye baatein kahan samaj mein aati hein, choro jane do".
Women are not so easily forgiven and I was answering her question from the perspective of a woman.

Maybe it's rare but not unheard of.

Re: in laws problems?
Men are the motherboards of politics in khandaan's
Its only the MIL who will cover her son and husband whereas they are the ones who know A to Z of everything going on aba any issue!!!!!!
Re: in laws problems?
I help or give me opinion when asked. in terms of phyical help, child care etc I offer par oper par par kar nahi. My mom always says na sore ho na kore ho (meaning don't get too close or too bitter with inlaws)...
Re: in laws problems?
I would agree with everyone here.. never ever try to get involved unless asked too. that's the best way to handle the situation i think.
