Is there any moderation in the highly sensitive forum called image gallery? Is there any protection and safety provided by gupshup? To protect the grace and dignity of members who get courage to post her/his picture in public trusting on Gupshup that no one will make any cheap or sick comments as it is a family board with high moderation.
But what happens when some girls posts their picture and the same some sick minded people come and ruin the whole environment with their really sick, annoying and disrespectable comments. I want to ask a question to them, do they make the same comment when their own sister or mother post picture here?
What is the duty of a moderator here? Are they only supposed to protect their friends or are they here for every one? Are they supposed to wait till a thread gets so much humiliation? Are they here just to lock the thread? Is this not their duty to keep cheap and sick comments away and give them warning for not respecting members? What is the policy here? Or should members defense themselves in the same disrespecting way or should the member just leave the thread to avoid more shame and disgust ?
OK, I get it, so that will be member who has to PM mod and then only they will come at their convenience and will edit that part, every time if some one makes a sick comment.
So now the policy is clear. But I was in the impression that, mod will edit any comment if they found that insulting or sick towards any member without drawing an attention by them.
IMO, Gupshup should maintain a minimum standard on what should be allowed and what should not. I am sure no one will appreciate any sick comments on his/her image, so how come GS has to wait till he/she contact a mod? Is it not obvious that those were sick comments which has offended that same member and she is annoyed, can’t you see that?
How come a mod who was already there can’t see any humiliation and other can feel it?
Make a policy to keep the house clean prior to start smelling, you do your best and no one will bother you anymore here. Gracious.

If a person is going to post pics , I guess they have to accept the fact that others will make comments.If the comments are diagreeable, I think PMing the mod to remove the comments isnt that hard.
Another question.Isnt it possible to have some sort of copyright for the pics posted on gs, so that people cant save them on their computers??

We had thought about that and discussed it a few times as well. Its a good idea, and we may still work some thing out, but with a very important caveat, thats when anything is posted on the internet in a public forum like this its almost impossible to control its distribution. We can probably make the pics unclickable so people can not "Save As", but that is no guarantee that people can't save it by using a round-about method. It will be incorrect to give a false sense of security. When in doubt, the best approach is to use email/PM.

Well, there are ways to disable that too, but I am sure there are other ways to go around that too. You just re-enforce what I am saying. Its wrong to give a false sense of security when we are dealing with technical issues on the internet.
