hmm....Wear what you or your husband likes and ask your husband to talk to your mil if she keeps up her funny attitude. Or do what njgal said :D

I am assuming you clean the bathrooms or do the laundry. If yes, then accidently drop some clorox or bleach on you MIL's given clothes. qisa katam (j/k).

this is one funny mil. ok lets see why she does that? does she think her mil doesn't wear appropriate clothes or hav good taste?
y doesn't the dil simply tells her that her hubby doesn't find her attractive in those clothes. obviously a 20 or 30 yrs old can't look gud if she dresses up like a 40 or 50 yrs old.

Ms Hareem, I didnt read all of the responses here but my answer to your initial question is that I would surely do my best to please everyone. It would be a difficult situation if one lived with such a MIL and would be expected to wear her clothes every day....but assuming that the MIL lives separately, I'd be sure to wear her clothes and to make them every bit as attractive as possible. And then, once the evening is done, the dishes cleaned and put away, change into hubby's favorite outfit and have a nice time in our own separate space/room.

In the situation where you live with her, I guess the best thing to do is to wear her clothes sometimes and your own clothes sometimes. The dry cleaner is slow, or you're behind on laundry ... so you wear different clothes while waiting till her clothes are ready again.

Its always best to try to please everyone, to find a middle ground if its at all possible. And I think in this case, it is possible even though it might be somewhat annoying lol!!

Id explain to my husband that I only see his mother once in a while and that when I do Id like to make her happy by wearing the clothes she got.

He may not find you attractive in them at that particular time…but that will only be temporary. You can make up for it later :halo:
