In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

That many hands make light work or that too many cooks spoil the broth?

Give your thought … If you wish …

(This is a very Dushwari type question)

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

brother psyah,
i will wait for others to reply on this. and then i will share what i have to offer.

Both can be right or wrong................depends on the situation and circumstances........................

If you are digging dirt or farming/picking vegtables or construction you need all the helping hands....................

they have a saying in Manfacturing business since it takes nine months for one pregnant lady to make a baby............................

You can not speed things up by taking nine pregnant ladies and expect them to make a baby in only one month.............:)

On the other hand If you wish to make soup...............then one cook is enough.................but you can use as many masalchees as the recipe can bear...................:biggthumb

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

more than one cook in the kitchen, may destroy a recipe, but if the two cooks are trained on a similar right method of preparing something, they will likely not mess up a recipe.

many hands making light work is only possible when many hands are able to hold things the right way, as a team. if they dont hold things together as a team, then many hands may also be of no help than of help.

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

too many cooks do spoil the broth  they all want to have a say, as if they’re all super-chefs

on the other hand, if you are in a team, and each member has its own respnsibility, then many handsdo make light work. but that is only if no one butts in someone else’s thing.

^^:)...I thought a good way to round off any argument..........

was to Butt In.............:D

or was it Butt out!.......:)

Parallel vs Series

In PERT which is a critical path analysis, one needs to create a string of parallel and serial activies, such that work duration can be minimised/simplified.

For parallel activities the first statement will be more relevant for serial activities the latter statement will be more relevant.

Are there any exceptions to this that you can cite based on the newer condition of this comparison?

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

and why do we need hard and fast rule.
I guess If you are observing the process you could tell if many hands are helping or destroying.

Peace knockout_artist

Analysing cases on an individual basis might be improved upon by predicting when such things become prevalent. There may be during a long history of observing processes that one can tell that such and such is a recipe for help or not based on certain conditions that have been present in the historical cases.

Planning to prevent is better then monitoring/checking

Cure is better than treatment

If it is possible that certain traits are necessary in the scenarios where destruction is going to occur then a different hat can be worn for those situations and likewise in situations where the opposite is going to occur then a different mindset accordingly again.

The rule within the pattern is a higher state ...

Asking people to leave after getting them started is bad for their morale. Not getting enough resources before we start the task might look like bad planning. If there is no hard and fast rule that is one matter, but if there are hidden rules than can be discovered then they should be found and utilised.

Psyah, it can go both ways, too many hands with an exceptional dexterity can make a mess of an epic proportion if allowed to work with the same level of authority, the answer is not concealed in the intellect, adroitness or in agility, its in organization, in rules of an engagement and in imposed or congenital will to adhere to them; a group of people with average intellect under an average leadership with strict separation of duties can make the process easy…………………………..

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

and then there are the age old categorical imperatives of subdued, undermined kind - something very much cherished and for some reasons, always left unaddressed.

Cherished by who, Dushwari?, I am unable to understand your argument in the right context.

Re: In Dushwaresque manner - I ask what is right

cherished by those who think so as if they are incapable of achieving something - anything with a self sure belief.

Many hands can make light or broth excellent if all are in group and listening each other and togather making a plan and then acting the way they all agreed and it will become perfect if they are professional and trained.

Skilled, trained and Co-oprative Administrator and workers with communication can do quick and perfect job. I mean any job.
