is an MA 1 year in duration like here, or 2 years like the US?
Most Canadian unis seem to follow our example and offer the MA as a terminal program, but the duration is not made clear.
Can someone give me some insight.

it depends on the program and the University...
there are "some" taught MA programs that are 1 year in duration... most research oriented programs are two years at least.
