I totally disagree with Imran. How can you move someone who made two 90s and a hundred at #3? I believe it's a good strategy to give yougseters confidence by playing them in vital positions so that they know exactly what they are being groomed for. Let them face the opposition/situations head-on and don't allow them to hide behind the big brothers. They may fail a few times or on many times, but that's the best way to prepare them for pressure positions. Inzi is an outclass yet an outgoing player, his presence at deep the middle order becomes a source of phychologial boost for the frontmen. What we will be proving by playing him at #3? For how long is he going to be there anyway? Shall not we start thinking of a team without Inzi? Given the scheme of things, I do not think that there is much you can do to the batting order at the moment.
I think he has a point, all he is saying that Younis and Inzy should bat up the order that is 1, 2, or 3 down. This still leaves on slot open for a youngester as well ofcourse opening slot open for Shoaib. How will Inzy, who is suppose a century will score one coming at 4 down. What's most probable Inzy hitting a century or one of these young one's coming upfront hitting one. Yusuf's failure makes Imran's comment more pertinent...
if these youn guys are coming up the order facing a swign balling attack they will be rolled over in places like england, new zealand. What Imran is saying is let those who play swing balling and build up an innings i.e. younis, yousuf and inzy come at the top. They can build a decent start and let the youngsters carry on from that assuming the ball is past it's original swinging condition. By doing so it means inzi, younis dont come in to salvage the game like they have been trying todo in the last ODI.
The game is as smuch psychological as skill and if someone like akmal hits consitant half centuries at number 6 lets say I'm sure it will do his confidence good.
