But UK double standards...like givingprotection to Salman Rushdi etc...will they hand Altaf Terrorist to Pakistan..that SC should start case aginst him for 15,000 lives...very difficult....but lets hope for good....

i think...some ISI agent should enter 1 ounce lead into his head...thats so simple and easy way...for his justice....but i think....very high security should be maintained in East London...where he hides...

u can send them links to various fact sheets on MQm on teh web. I believe even dept of state or cia had a fact sheet on them. FAS is a pretty good site. I mean any group will have their own spin on it, but facts are facts..and if they have listed the trail of carnage of altaf then that can not be challenged.

how is giving protection to salman rushdie a double standard? that is not pertinent here. There are many people who applied for assylum on basis of being Ahmedi, shia, and Muhajer as well and basicaly proving that their life is in danger in Pakistan.

as far as ISI killing him. who do u think was behind the creation of haqiqi rift and all that. why can someone like bhutto be hung, but altaf allowed to escape, or nawaz or even benazir.

Think about it.

Altaf was created by Zia...to balance BB in Sindh...as Nawaz was created to balance BB in Punjab...but Nawaz turned into political leader and Altaf turned into Stalin....

When Matters went out of hand of ISI...to balance MQM..haqqiqi was created....but LAtaf from 1979 was anti-pakistan and pro-india..while Nawaz..was never that.....

Well Altaf is not ganda anda of Zia, he is perhaps the saza of Karachi's people sins! He has formed his party before Zia I think. Zia might have promoted him - again through ISI? Who knows?

KARACHI, May 30: The Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI), Sindh, has announced cancellation of its rally against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement scheduled for Friday from Tower to the Karachi Press Club.

The announcement was made by PTI Sindh President Zubair Khan at a press conference at the KPC on Wednesday. He said since the MQM had responded positively to the PTI’s call for a halt to the offending campaign against PTI chief Imran Khan, his party had decided to cancel the rally programme. He said PTI workers’ reaction to the offending campaign, during which the MQM had indulged in provocative demonstrations and graffiti, was quite natural.

He recalled that the MQM chief had asked his workers to erase indecent wall chalking against Imran Khan.

** About Imran Khan’s intention to file a case against Altaf Hussain in London, he said any decision in this regard would be taken by Imran Khan himself and the party’s central committee**.—PPI

I hope he shouldn't ... otherwise the way he went high, will fall down even faster.

Let's give this rally-back-off the benefit of doubt. May be they really wanted to avoid any violence when the opposite side has withdrawn.

Sometimes rallies become counter-productive, as it happened with MQM.

BTW, i got this response from the Home Dept, UK

"Thank you, for your email. I have passed it to the unit that will investigate. Under the data protection act we will not be able to inform you of the outcome."

hmmm i hope he does not back off, but the challenge either way s that even if UK is convinced and strips altaf of his citizenship, they wont turn him to Pakistan if there is no official case and request.
in such a scenario altaf will just go hide with his other buddies in India

in Afghanistan and Iraq, and on the other is harbouring and sheltering

Providing shelter to Altaf Hussain not only continues his party's role
in terrorism activities in Pakistan, it also enrages people in an
already volatile area who have the most grievances against him. I,
therefore, petition that the Government of United Kingdom publicly
distance itself from the activities of Altaf Hussain (who routinely
addresses rallies in Karachi from London), and employ all legal
channels to investigate the connections a UK citizen has to
international terrorism. Given that Mr Hussain is a United Kingdom
citizen, it is no longer an internal affair of Pakistan.
