There’s a guppy called black zero here. I have been thinking where I have heard that name and then it all came flooding back!! Of course he is Ali Imran’s assistant !! Ali Imran MSc PhD (Oxon) who is actually X2 (I think there is an X2 here as well).
I used to read Imran Series when I was a little lad!! I thought it was great. I started off reading these crappy books by some guy whose name I cannot remember (he was an MA). Then I read Ibn-e-Safi and after that I was obsessed with Imran Series.
I think Ibn-e-Safi was the most under-rated writer that Pakistan has ever produced. If he was born in the west, he would have been a legend like John Le Carre & Tom Clancy etc. His Imran Series is the best and all the other writers who write Imran Series should be tied to a donkey with their face blackened and forced to tour the country. Any objections?
all people in the field of literature feel under rated in Pakistan, and most in other countries too. I doubt that his being born in pre-partition India had anything to do with it.
Underappreciated is more like it..We need to do much more to honor him and his legend. This could be started by making an Imran series movie with good acting, and good directing and producing. Dhamaka from what I hear did not count.
He still is the best loved mystery writer in Urdu literature with two of the most famous series'.

Ohhh loved those novels. My father once bought me one novel when i was young…and after that i got soo hooked on to them. As soon as finish one book i would go and buy another one. It was an obsession until i left Pakistan
