Some of the most absurd allegations Ive heard are in this thread.
Head of Kashmir Affairs sits there and says that Pakistan has no business talking about Kashmir while FATA is there…and here folks are railing against IK for boycotting , even though he has openly stated unanimity on the Kashmir issue, and on other national issues as well, like zarbe azb.
Im still waiting for someone to show me the sense/logic of having a parliamentary parties meeting one day, and a joint session on the same issue the next day. What for? why now? Threat was 2 weeks ago. Where the heck was parliament back then? Where was Sharif back then?
Cheap shots, looking for cheap scores. Bsically this joint session was a lifeline from PPP to PMLN. PMLN just wanted to get assurance from PPP that Panama issue would not get their support. Rest we all know how much love these idiots have for Kashmir or the armed forces.

I can understand some of the other posters here…but reading this from you is weird.
Nawaz is not an institution. He is a corrupt politician, who has been caught, and needs to be booked. Questioning that is equivalent to condoning his crimes.

You are putting too much hopes on Panama! and PMLN doesnt seem to need lifeline, they doing just fine. If there is no support on panama issue, its from Tareen and Aleem who Govt want to investigate first with Sharif family. PTI should just leave parliament and stop contesting for elections if they have no respect for parliament.

I dont think anyone from PTI has backed off from ‘threats’ of investigation. First PMLN accused Imran of financial crimes by citing his offshore company. IK offered himself to be audited /investigated along with Nawaz. Then they hurled accusations against JKT and Aleem (neither of whom is named in Panama leaks btw), and they too provided complete details of their fund transfers and disclosures. Since then, PMLN’s strategy has been to go to its original ally, PPP, and find a way to stall and weaken PTI’s approach.
Bottom line is, this session had little to no value. The APC called a couple of days before was where a resolution was drafted, passed, and signed by all participants, including PTI. That was meaningful, though I feel that should have been done in the parliament, and not in an APC. But since they had already held the APC, there was zero purpose for a joint session. It was just hogwash.
PMLN needs a strong lifeline, and PPP is that lifeline, since they are both birds of a feather. NS is not bothered by a threat of losing govt, since that wont happen. He is though bothered by an independent investigation, which will surely put him and a few other members of his family in jail, at the very least. And that is why he will do whatever it takes to make sure all institutions including NAB, FIA and FBR remain castrated…but unlucky for him, IK is more energetic than NS is a crook.

So Imran was right…what came out of this joint session? Nothing, zilch, nada. How many paid Patwaris tuned into to see their coward and spineless PM’s forcefully reading a speech written in GHQ? Without IK - even media wasn’t interested in covering the event. This is the power of Khan!
Yes Imran should’ve went to parliament - the whole country tunes in to watch his speech when he’s in the House, and he also tends to give his best speeches in the parliament as well. Poor media, missed out on ratings.

Just saw some excerpts of the so called joint session. The proceedings are exactly the same as those of the session during dharna. Mutual and guarded mud slinging, and meek attempts to retain mukmuka. Heard a long clip of the proceedings, and didnt hear the word Kashmir once.
Unity my foot. The only time these crooks unite is when they are in hot water.
And as for BIlawal’s BS, Im sure that while mentioning Panama, someone on the side must have mentioned Surrey Palace, swiss accounts, and of course, zardari’s money laundering , which probably explained the blush on his face

But this time the plan backfired. NS ran away today and was where to be seen in the Parliament and PPP walas chanted ‘Modi ka jo yaar he ghaddar he’ to slap Nawaz Sharif and walked out- apparently things turned nasty after PMLN started abusing.
Dear PD - will you now open a whiny thread crying how PPP - one of country’s most oldest, most established and opposition party chanted ‘Modi ka jo yaar ke wo ghadar he’ in the Parliament. What will Indians say? They were supposed to be watching this right? Haa hayee
Honestly time to realise that other than PMLN supporters who personally benefits from Noon League’s corruption and patronage - Nawaz Sharif has respect and status of a dirty sock in Pakistan and Indians know that very well.
