Imaran Nazir is a good player. Pakistan is lucky to have him.

Take Your Best Shot At Me

He still has to improve a lot.. Temprament and confidence is A-1. Fielding is outstanding.. I have even seen him bowl and can turn out to be a parttime spinner..

He would have to improve his technique against the spinners a lot. Also needs some polishing on the backfoot strokes…

All in all.. a bright future..

I heard one of the commentators saying that he plays shots in all the directions of the ground except for down the ground; and that this is going to be a big handicap for him against quality bowlers like McGrath, Pollock etc. who rarely give anything not straight.

He gave the example of Afridi in comparision saying that almost all of his shots of Afridi are straight up (down the ground).

So I think unless we have seen him perform against better bowling attacks, we should not be assuming a bright future for him.

Imran Nazir is a very talented batsman and a brilliant fielder. Far better than Taufiq Umer or Naveed Latif.

Do pal ka, yeh jeevan hay
Kuch karna hay tu kar guzro

has to start working playing staright and also have to practicing paying spin, as he is really not at all confident!

when he is confident he plays good…
and when he is somewhat disturbed, hecant even score a single run and will go out for a duck…
and yes he needs to learn how to handle spinor other teams will introduce a spinner in the 6th or 7th over or maybe even earlier and believe me it doesnt need a real spinner to get nazir out…
just the word spin is enuff to bamboozle him…

nonetheless, he is packed wth talent…

I think SRI Lanka has good bowlers, and remember he is still very young so a lot to learn yet.
Well he didnt go for a down to ground shot, but I'm sure this will be piece of cake for him once.

Great raw talent, needs to be nurtured and guided. Has the ability to become the next Saeed Anwar.

He and Afridi can do wonders as Pakistans new openers!!

Saeed announced today that hes ready to come back to play the tests against NZ...

Imran has lots of talent .PCB and Captain need to show lots of confidence in him and he will be great asset.

Remember guys, we have said this about so many other batsmen as well. Everyone shows great talent against mediocre oppositions and when asked to perform against some quality teams they just wither away.

So wait and see.

ITs a sharjah pitch supposedly an easier venue for the batsmen to show off their skills the real tests comes when they play on fast pithes like in Aus SA or Eng...We always seemed to post a mediocre scores in these pitches but with our bowling attack we balance our overall performance. Since Imran nazir lacked some footwork it will be interesting to evaluate his performance in fast pitches..
