I know his performance hasnt been all that great in recent times…but we have to consider how many chances he has been given. NOT NEARLY ENOUGH. He has some excellent strokeplay and is quite technically sound. I admit he might be a little rash sometimes, but all of that can improve with grooming. He ahs centuries against teams like S Africa and India. Further he has played some great knocks in the past for example against australia during the 3 game series. I think he should be given a chance…him opening with salman butt would be an ideal combination for the one dayers…plus hes an amazing fielder..
yea i agree he was given some chances...but even in general...the pak team doesnt stick long enough wid players who seem to have potential or need grooming...u dont perform in one series and ure gone...

if u say this, u have never seen him bat....
the guy has not a clue of how to play a ball that comes in to him....
leg-side is virtually non-existent....
and i'd be surprise if he can survive half an over from the world's worst spinner....

I think u mite be generalizing considering his batting in the last series against india...before that..regarding his playin of spinners...he gave warne quite a hiding in brisbane in the 3rd one day and manouvered kumble exceptionally well in the pak-saf-india series in sharjah...

I think Imran Nazir is not that bad a player. He has got a good range of shots and when in form, it is treat to watch him bat.
Having said this, I would add that I am against his inclusion in the test squad because of his poor shot selection and his inability to improve on this major drawback. He often makes a mistake in judging which ball to hit and which to let go and it has resulted in frequent dismissal when he was either well set or when the team needed him to stay.
Thats exactly where our problem lies. Bhai how many lapaaro we gonna throw into the team. Have we not have enough already? We need test players…litterally TEST PLAYERS! who don’t necessarily hit hard on the ball like Afridi does, but play with calm and are selective in their shots.
Having Taufeeq waiting for a call, I don’t think anyone else deserve any chance.
We need ppl with cool head and a lot of patience. Like Asim, Taufeeq, Salman etc.
hmm.... Well I dont want to cry foul, but I think Imran would be a better fit thatn Farhat. Farhat seems to be an exact copy of Imran a lot of the time,,, the same poor shot selection, the tendency to hit out, impatience and lack of dicipline. The only real difference is that Imran was way more talented in terms of his range of strokes, he also was/is a much better backfoot player than Farhat. Unfortunately nobody plays on talent alone and thats why hes not around anymore.
