Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

I think now is a time to decide what to do with the menace MQM once for all - various govts were terrified with the fascist tactics of MQM. It is now to decide to side with Musharaf-Altaf or those who oppose them..

Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

By Our Special Correspondent
LONDON, June 12: The proposed Multi-Party Conference (MPC) being hosted here by the ARD on July 7 and 8 is likely to discuss modalities of launching a countrywide political struggle against the military-led government of President Gen Pervez Musharraf.

“And we will be inviting Mr Nawaz Sharif to come home and lead this struggle,” said Tehrik-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan, indicating that the former prime minister was most likely to return to the country in late July or early September.

Imran was speaking at a joint press conference along with Nawaz Sharif at the PML-N’s international headquarters on Tuesday.

Describing the MPC as a milestone, Imran appealed to Benazir Bhutto to attend the MPC as, according to him, the struggle to be launched, would be against all dictatorial forces and, so, all democratic forces must join hands.

Mr Sharif supported the viewpoint of Imran, and said the MPC was aimed at unifying all democratic forces in the struggle for the restoration of the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution.

Imran said the purpose of his visit to Britain was to meet decision-makers and law-enforcement agencies of the British government and to apprise them of what he said was the mafia style politics of the MQM.

Mr Imran said that his decision to file a case against Mr Hussain was irrevocable, “but the timing of the proceeding in this respect will entirely be that of my solicitor who is the best human rights’ lawyer in the UK. He is gathering evidence and would brief the press on the progress so far made in this connection on Wednesday.”

Intervening, Mr Sharif said in 1998 he had dissolved coalition with the MQM in the Sindh government when he received hard evidence that it was involved in the murder of Hakim Saeed.

When asked if he (Nawaz Sharif) would appear as a witness against Mr Hussain if called to do so in Imran’s case against the MQM chief, Imran interjected and said that it would not be necessary as he had already collected a large quantum of evidence and that even former MQM people, victims of Altaf Hussain’s cruelty, were ready to appear as witnesses in the case.

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

The menace of the terrorist, indian backed MQM is recognised throughout Pakistan.

Once Mush goes, it will be time to finish it, which is why Mush supporters are so desperate for him to stay

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

So is India ruling this country since Ocotober 1999? Isn't it a shame for Pakistani people - a minority controlling their country?

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

What about the sita white case?

Can’t Imran be disqualified because of his illegal children? Pakistani politics is funny, as admitted by indian posters as well! :hehe:

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

so basically imran realizes that he is not electable by majority of pakistanis sadly and has thus gone for who he thinks is the least evil to thro his weight behind. he has chosen Nawaz.

Now this leaves PPP out still, obviously MQM.

lets look at land of milk and honey scenario here.

all parties with the exception of pml(q) and Mqm join hands and sing kumbaya..
the democratic coalition is formed, and they run for power together.

so how will they field candidates, will there still by PPP. PML(N), MMA, ANP candidates for each seat? or will they pick one and all support that one candidate.

now..once they get in power..how do they select PM, how is the cabinet selected. what kabbadi will go on with coalition partners wrestling for choice ministries.

:khumar:

things can get very interesting..

PS: I hope they hang altaf for Hakeem saeed’s assassination

^

What a waste of time and money.

GEO/ARY could make a lot of money by turning Pakistani politics in some kind of a reality tv show.

Musharraf should resign and give in to the "wishes" of the Pakisatni public. They deserve all these fruity letters of the alphabet.

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

^BEcharay Hakim Saeed....A true muslim, patriot and son of Pakistan. It was devastating when he was killed. If it was MQM, or whomever, I pray Allah SWT uncovers the killers and the hands behind the murder so that they face judgement InshAllah! (ameen)

Re: Imran, Nawaz team up against Musharraf, Altaf

Factions will apear within the MQM - fighting each other and then probably it will come to an end.
