People like Salim Safi, Aamir Mateen, Hshim Khakwani have written extensively on TTP, its origin and ideological alignment. They all agree that when Pakistan Army pressed against LET, LEJ and SSP back in 2003-2006 time period, majority of fighters from these organizations went underground but they are still active under TTP platform…the point is simple…they all have same agenda: enforce their version of islamic sharia on Pakistan by using force.
