We went to see Imran Khan at Shaukat Khanum Hospital a couple of days ago. We are pleased to report that he is recovering well. The doctors are saying he should be on his feet very soon. One doctor who checked his CT scan said that his bones are as strong as a 30 year old person. His message is to think positive and look forward to Naya Pakistan. He said that we already have taken a huge step towards that. KPK will be a model government inshaAllah.
He wanted to thank the Overseas Pakistanis who donated money for the historic campaign, and the Youth for their commitment to Pakistan. He has recorded an exclusive message for you. Please see the video below:
A special thanks to you all from the Social Media Team as well. Thank you for your generous contributions throughout the campaign and thank you for encouraging us!
Re: Imran Khan's message for Youth and Overseas Pakistanis
It is always a pleasure to donate for a good cause, and even better when you know how ur money is being spent...IK will always have our support, whether it is for the charity work he does or for building a better future for Pakistan in a political manner.
Re: Imran Khan's message for Youth and Overseas Pakistanis
I don't understand Why Mr Khan is only targeting youths, larger cities, oversea Pakistani's and the internet?
there are also rural areas in Pakistan which is a majority and still majority of people in Pakistan don't use internet
youths are young to vote and those who can are not the majority oversea Pakistani's are not going to travel to vote
Mr Khan needs to think about and target the poor in rural areas and the the majority, not a very good leadership Mr Khan
Youth, overseas Pakistanis, and the segment of society that has been labelled by media as 'burger class/mummy daddy' have historically been the segments of society that have stayed away from taking part in polls, and have resigned themselves to their lives, and 'allowed' status quo to exist and rot the country at will. Reason was that these segments of the society have never been impacted directly by things like load shedding, economy etc. They all have generators, access to excellent schools, roads, most have dual nationalities, so technically, they couldnt have cared less in the past. But in reality, they are the highest earners of the society, and hence, the highest tax payers. So it was vital that in the first step, they be jolted.
And in case you missed it, overseas Pakistanis did fly in to vote this time around in large numbers. And from the next elections, they will be able to vote overseas as well.
As for the rural areas, they too have woken up. The change that you saw in the form of diminished vote bank of parties like PML-N and PPP is an eye opener. And take a look at how a city like Karachi has been jolted out of its slumber.
As for Mr. Anwer Pasha, dont mind him. He missed his medication again.
