Imran Khan...

What does he have to do to become the next president of Pakistan in the next four odd years?

Just listening to him on political shows gives me the confidence that he would do great things for our country.

Re: Imran Khan...

for starters, he has to sing hymns in praise of amreeka and git wit da program

Re: Imran Khan…

true :rotfl:

Re: Imran Khan...

Imran Khan does not necessarily have to sing to the tunes of America to become the next President of Pakistan, but he does needs to play the politics as it should be played. His vision is great, he has sincerity with the nation, but he lacks what it takes to capture people's minds.

He has to prop up his party members and make them well-known across the nation, so his party can be recognized as a major contender with the likes of PPP, PML(both factions), MQM (to some extent). It would do him justice to address the people of Urban sindh and talk of the issues that matter to them, so that part of Pakistan too can be diversified with more choices in candidates.

its easy to talk and criticise from an outside position but when he is in a position of power then thats the acid test.

99% of people on GS have better ideas than those in/out of power there.

Re: Imran Khan...

i hope imran khan becomes president of Pakistan

oh my goodness u guys need to think before opening your mouths, rather typing ob your keyboard!!

NB: In usual pakistani government, the president is useless so i hope he does not become a president but rather the prime minister!!

at least sooch to achi thi app logo ki.

Think before u speak!! lol

Anil, glad you feel that way, BUT the first thing you have to do is actually listen to Imran and stop supporting and longing for dictatorships.

Re: Imran Khan...

^ I see the turmoil presently in our great land and I can't stomach it. I don't care who is in power as long as Pakistanis and the nation of Pakistan is prosporing.

I've become an Imran Khan supporter over the last year and half as I've heard more from him; but I do long for the days a few yrs ago when Pakistan was stable and moving forward. Currently the country has become a joke (as painful as it is for me to say; u don't understand how painful).

Re: Imran Khan...

in current setup when all the current lots, PML Q, PML N and PPP tried and tested and getting dusted, Imran is the only one who has better leadership and sincerity with the country. He will only need amreeka wishes if has to try backdoor to power, but he gets the votes, no one can stop him.

while he has support mostly from educated or urbanites, he doesnt engages the real votes 70% of them who lives in villages, he and his party need to enaged people, presence in a big way so people who already trust him start thinking that his party CAN win.

while other parties have local cronies at all level to have presence, in remote part of the country votes are given on strong presence of local leadership and how influential they are.
for that part he has to work hard and find such people and select the sincere ones without installing un known names here and there, as people will not vote for them.
