I last inning Imran was much weak as he was having no electroll behind him except his only seat from Mianwali . Now he has a large number of seats and votes behind him . He is also enjoying support of establishment andEhsanullah Ehsan . On the other hand MQM has lost much during last decade . They don't even have to have their analysts to officially talk about the content of his address, all they have to do is to give full coverage to his late hour drunken speeches to let the public decide for itself. At one hand you have this terrorist openly threatening to slaughter innocent protestors and on the other, you have the likes of Mustafa Kemal making desperate attempts, using some seriously twisted logic to defend their master's venom.

PMLN government hasn't kicked off yet and already their leaders are coming on national TV and saying Karachi situation would be on top of their agenda. For now MQM and PTI fighting probably doesn't hold much importance for them but they sure won't be able to ignore this issue once it actually turns into a crisis under their governance, because that could pave way for an army intervention or make Nawaz increasingly unpopular amongst the group of army generals lined up for the COAS post. PMLN is no Musharraf or PPP, they have nothing to lose if the MQM goes down, in fact PMLN is probably itching to make its way into Karachi since they obviously hold the potential. I think Imran would'nt have work as hard and hopelessly as he had to with Musharraf government, to convince Nawaz to hand in those dusted files against Altaf Hussain to the Met police. At the end of the day, PMLN as a party, its workers and its supporters have no tolerance towards typical Punjab bashing done by MQM. Its one thing to take digs at Zardari and Sindhis by constantly lambasting the wadera culture but its a totally different ball game when you start crying 'Punjabi conspiracy'.
