After dating each other for over eight years, Imran Khan and his ladylove Avantika have decided to tie the knot in January 2011. The couple that got engaged this January has finally decided on the month of their wedding, even though the date for the event remains undecided. What’s interesting is that the young icon will be going on a break from his acting career before he takes the plunge.

Confirming the news, a source told a news daily, “It will not be a nikah. It would be a simple registered marriage. Only a few close friends and family members shall be invited to the ceremony. Imran and Avantika don`t believe in ostentatious preparations. But the wedding arrangements have started.”

However, sources suggest that it was Imran who chose the month. Since the actor considers January to be an auspicious month for him, he decided to choose the same for his wedding. As per reports, the marriage will take place in Mumbai. As of now, the actor is busy working on Kunal Kohlis ‘Break Ke Baad’, post which he is expected to star in Karan Johars next, opposite Kareena Kapoor.

Talking to reporters, the actor said, “I haven`t locked the exact wedding date yet since my shooting dates are still uncertain. I want to go on a break from my schedule for a couple of months so that we can do the entire event in a proper manner.”
