Engagement in Jan, 2010:

Imran Khan got engaged to Avantika Malik at his family’s sprawling farm house in Karjat. Imran looked dapper in a black sherwani and ivory silk kurta designed by Varun Bahl and Karan Johar. Avantika chose an unusual velvet Varun Bahl lehenga, in blue and gold.

The bride’s mother also wore a Varun Bahl velvet lehenga. Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao and other family members and close friends attended the engagement. Aamir’s ex-wife Reena Khan also made a rare appearance.

Wedding card by Uttara Shah

The card is a combination of a colorful mela fan which is for the Mehendi and pre-wedding party (happening at the Malik’s Karjat farm on 8th Jan) and the wedding reception invitation, a yearly planner for 2011. The actual page on Jan 10th has the invitation.

The theme for the wedding is black, white and silver. Both of these along with chocolates and pot pourri are contained in a black box.

Love the unique, not to mention useful, wedding invites!

LOVE the invites…the clothes…are UGLY!!! GOSH whats wrong with these ppl, they can spend so much and yet…they pick out the crappiest outfits

JUST MARRIED

Avantika Malik and Imran Khan wedding:

Everything was just perfect at Aamir Khan’s Pali Hill house where yesterday his nephew Imran Khan married his long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik. The ceremony was kept simple.

Imran and Avantika had a registered marriage which was attended by close family members and some B-Town folks. Sarika was spotted there with her daughter Aksara.

After the wedding, Imran drove Avantika to his home in a black Porsche with white “Just Married” flags.

The bridegroom was dressed in a black bandhgala and the bride wore a pink and white voluminous ghagra-choli. Soon the couple will fly off to Thailand for the celebrations and honeymoon along with other 50 guests.

Among those who attended were Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao, Aamir’s ex-wife Reena and his children Junaid and Ira, Aamir Khan’s cousin Mansoor Khan and wife Tina. Avantika and Imran then hosted a quiet dinner for close family and friends at Taj Lands End, Bandra.

Expressing his joy, Imran tells the press, “I'm not feeling married right now, it will take some time to sink in. I’m very happy.”

i have some things to say...

1. the bride has nearly exact the same look all 3 days... just the clothes are changed. but i LOVE her wedding dress!

2. i always dislike the kapre of amirs wife. she has such a bad taste in MY opinion!

but wish them a happy married live!
