Re: Imran Khan Talks about Gas and Electricity Issues
You are shifting the focus of the point from Imran’s mentioning of OGDC to making gas exploration a profitable business for local firms. We can start a new dicussion on the point of having enough time to wait for local discoveries or urgency of finding a quick fix to meet the challenge present in every kitchen as we talk.
Do you know why petrol is so cheap in Opec countries? Because it’s a local product which is not imported. We are not importing gas and the benefit of local production should be given to people since it’s not an imported commodity. It is fair for fuel prices to be adjusted in view of purchasing prices, but why a local product should be bracketed with the things we import? Let me reword what he might have meant and what I mean to say: gas price for kitchens should not go up.
Could you please name a single politician who says he isn’t the champion of poor people?
