No one is under any obligation on this forum. If you want to personalize it, it’s your wish which cannot be granted.
I understand you specifically mentioned “how would Imran Khan and his defenders react…”, the “we” I referred to was intended to bring your attention towards the fact that most the of PTI-leaning members of PA here have unequivocally expressed their disapproval of the observation made by Imran, not only in this thread, but in other threads also. There may be different reasons for not going along with Imran’s statement, including the one you mentioned, but to me, the prime reason is that he does not need to poke his nose into the internal affairs of any country.
Lastly, anyone who tries to rationalize such behaviour, doesn’t necessarily have to be Imran Khan’s “defenders”.
