English bowlers get enough assistance from the pitch (moist, green, bouncy, pacy, so the ball seams off the pitch) + conditions favour swing or movement in the air. They don’t have to wait for the ball to get 30 or 40 overs old so they can start reverse swinging it. However over the years some of their bowlers have also mastered the art of reverse swing (in particular Anderson and Flintoff)

Sub-continental bowlers don’t have that luxury. The pitches are dry, so the ball doesn’t move much off the seam, pitches are slow and lack bounce + conditions are not really that helpful for swing bowling. Hence reverse swing with the old ball is so important. Despite this obvious disadvantage, for Wasim, Waqar and Imran to have as good a bowling record as some of the best West Indian, English and Australian bowlers (who play most of their cricket on helpful pitches with pace and bounce) in history is no mean achievement

you are stating the obvious. All of them were ball tamperers, it was their no.1 weapon. Some were even caught doing it on tv many times waqar was fined and suspended. Even the ex-cricketers themselves admitted that they were cheaters like imran and shoaib did.

what amir sohail said was 100% correct. Only those who don’t anything about our history are denying it and die hard cult followers of imran will obviously never accept it.

People are shooting the messenger instead of looking at facts and most of these people are imran die hards.
