Shouldn’t he be in Pakistan at this crucial time?
One was surprised to hear Imran Khan waxing eloquent on television from Mumbai on the current crisis in Pakistan. It appears he was attending a marriage ceremony at the Godrej’s, one of India’s biggest industrial houses. Having entered into a political boycott, it seems he did not undertake a social boycott. Part-politician part-socialite, our man parties away while the country is in flames.

Let's see. The last political opposition leader that returned to Pakistan was killed. The one before that was deported directly from airport after being manhandled.

In India Prime Ministers get killed by their bodyguards or by suicide bombers, so he is not safe there as well.

well he was arrested at that university during the state of emergency after he was 'pakistans most wanted' on the run and in hiding so maybe he needed a vacation! :)

You are in no position to entertain such mockery. You should know that hooligans and vandals from Pakistani ISI have been plucked out at least as far as their schemes to engineer movements such as Bindran Wale's. So may be you should chuck your dated fact book and start getting something written this decde. Imran Khan is also not a prime minister of any country.

If the election date is put off for some weeks, and rules are changed to allow others to register, then maybe Imran will also change his mind? After all Nawaz has changed his a few times now.

Imran is a opposition leader just like Shariff and Bhutto. You are the one that tried to introduce prime minister'ship.
The Sikh bodyguard was a member of the BindranWale group which was provided ammo and weapons by ISI at that time.
But yes, the Rajiv Gandhi assasination was by LTTE and your ISI probably had nothing to do with it.

Well say they extend the election date to early March and say resubmissions of papers can happen, and Qazi Hussain and others in the rump APDM say they will take part after all. Then Imran will surely not want to be left out all alone?
