The irony is that it was bhutto who supported the so-called “islamic socialism” and banned qadyanis in 1973.
Many blame the army for not arresting the development of the madarsas after Zia but tbh, nawaz and benazir were busy in pulling down the trousers of each other. Nawaz was allied with IJI and is a right winger now while benazir supported taliban via naserullah babar. Expect anwar, realdeal and sachay to come and justify this illiberal policy any moment.
Erdogan only came out strong when he improved the economy of Turkey though he has become unhinged and is taking turkey down a dark path. Still, you find turkish products and companies all over the middle east including when you are doing hajj.

^^ Sorry but whaever you call MQM, they at least won VOTE. As much difference of opinion with them but they did win elections. The only confused party that is on wrong side of history is JH (I mean JI but yiou get the idea). JH from Pakistans inception to date, has never won any thing, is like an establishment prostitute that is last in line more like $2 whor$ who for Government will do anything and still they dont get any thing.
