soif you extrapolate what immi bha said, pakistani players have been actually benefited by not playng ipl..and may that is why they showed good temperament.

IK encouraging Test and said you can judge a good cricketer only by his Test Cricket Record not T20 or ODI :cobra:
He really criticized Indian cricket team that bcoz of T20 they are unable to get 20 wickets in Test

The big difference between tests and LOIs is that you need to take 20 wickets in order to win a test match. Hence you need genuine wicket- taking bowlers not pie throwers.
Although wickets is the best way of checking the opposition's rate of scoring even in LOIs (both ODIs and T20Is) but here you can often get away with line and length bowlers (who lack the ability to take wickets at test level) as you don't really have to take all 10 wickets to win a game. For instance a bowler who has conceded 30-40 runs without taking a wicket in an ODI game has still done well!!

I feel privileged that I grew up watching all those great cricketers. Anyone who has seen Imran Khan and Viv Richards live cannot be in their 20s!! I saw Viv bat live in Karachi during the 1987 world cup and what an innings that was, he absolutely massacred the Sri Lankan bowling attack. And here’s the scorecard of that thrashing by King Viv

People who started following cricket in the 90s and 2000s have missed the best years of cricket IMO because the 80s really was the golden age of cricket with so many great fast bowlers, batsmen and esp. all-rounders around the world, all playing at the same time
