This is the closest anyone has come to say in public that if he names specific groups he will be killed by them!

So he is going to say ‘he will control all terrorist groups’ and then once he comes to power, try to play with this is not a terrorist but mujahideen type of games.

That is one possibility.

The other is he has matured and recognized that supporting terrorists under whatever other names is bad for the world including Pakistan and so wants to do the right thing.

Let’s hope it is the latter

There is an almost consensus in Pakistan that we do not want any sort of militant groups/mujahideen, freedom fighter. justified or unjustified operating from Pakistan. There was a unanimous resolution on this by our parliamentarians. Our military leadership, although being an Indian you will not believe this, is of the same opinion.

We have suffered the most in past ten years as far as terrorism is concerned. We have lost 35,000 lives in terrorist related incidents. More than 150.000 people have lost their limbs or are permanently disabled due these incidents. Our economy has suffered because of this problem. We just want to live peacefully.. and want to concentrate inward on our economy and peace.

Had these terrorists been 100% in our state control.. we could have saved 35,000 lives of our innocent people. We could have prevented the damage to our economic interests. We are trying to fight this menace in our country.. and certainly do not want this to go across the borders to any other country including India.
