Imran Khan is advising English cricketers not to visit India as foreigners were targetted … but he had no problems in asking cricketers to come to Pakistan … he said Pakistani terrorists won’t target cricketers as they will lose support of people. I am impressed with his knowledge on terrorists … think he has inside information ???
But that is not just Imran’s view. It is just commonsense. Boycott also recently slammed ‘monstrous’ decision by England to return to India
**"It’s all very well to say ‘We mustn’t let the terrorists win’, but what about the grieving families who have lost loved ones. **
**"Sport is supposed to be enjoyable, entertaining and essentially fun. But I don’t know how any of that can be possible when India is burying more than 200 victims of terror. **
“In fact, the ECB are showing a lack of moral judgment by pressing ahead with all these meetings and security inspections. The whole thing is just too raw.”
I am not saying that England should not play in India but at a time when there is so much anger and sadness in India over the recent blasts, it would have made more sense to reschedule the two tests at a later date as a mark of respect to the victims and their grieving families.
Yeah this guy Lord Maclaurin has inside information too?? You need your brain to be thinking positive sometime. You have always proctive comments and always trying to find something against Pakistani. Shame on you.
Former England Cricket Board chairman Lord MacLaurin has revealed he believes England will go back to India for their two-Test series but admitted the decision was ‘very sad’.e
Monstrous to send England back to India
Given what has just happened in India, it is monstrous for the England and Wales Cricket Board even to be thinking about sending the team back out again.
Imran Khan now speaking like a true politician - saying different things at different times as per what suits when. Just a few weeks ago he was advising England to be cautious about touring India after the Mumbai attacks.
The latest from Cricinfo : Imran Khan believed Indian players would be safe in Pakistan, and said they should take a cue from England’s decision to return to India for the ongoing series. “Sportsmen are in absolutely no danger from terrorist attacks, I’ve always maintained that,” he said while speaking on BBC’s Sportsweek programme on Radio Five Live.
