Interesting twists to the whole saga of ethnic strife in the country. I guess we blame Quaid e Azam for creating this hotch-potch country where everyone is innocent and all get killed at the same time :)

Lahore, May 27 (PPI) Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, who was to leave for Karachi on Sunday to offer condolence for those killed in May 12 carnage, was restricted to Lahore limits for three days by the Punjab government. Punjab Home Department issued an order that Imran Khan could not move out of limits of Lahore. Such an order was issued on the request of Sindh government, which last night had banned the entry of Imran Khan in the province for a month. Imran Khan however refused to receive the copy of Punjab Home Department order terming it illegal and unjustified. The PTI chief had left his residence for Lahore airport to depart for the Karachi as per schedule, however he was again stopped there. Imran Khan was also to visit Hyderabad and attend All Party Conference called by Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party. STPP chief Dr. Qadir Magsi had announced that they would escort Imran Khan to Hyderabad. PTI asks MQM to account for killings
LAHORE, May 26: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf’s Lahore president Muhammad Shabbir has asked the MQM to account for the blood of innocent people of Karachi before criticising chairman Imran Khan.
Addressing the PTI workers who staged a demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club here on Saturday against the vilification campaign launched by the MQM against Mr Khan here on Saturday, he said the MQM was a gang of professional murderers and Dr Farooq Sattar and his cronies were the products of violence.
He said Dr Sattar and MQM leaders should explain as to who was the mastermind of the Jinnahpur Conspiracy. “Were the bodies and Indian maps recovered from the private torture cells of the MQM during the army operation not a proof of its involvement in a conspiracy against Pakistan at the behest of a foreign power?” he asked.
He said MQM leader Altaf Husain should explain as to who created no-go areas in Karachi and who introduced the culture of bodies bags.
He said the MQM should know that parties believing in violence had no future. Shrinking of its influence to a few ‘mohallas’ had clearly proved it. MQM leader Altaf Husain should explain as to where he was keeping the murderers of Ghazi Salahudding and Hakim Muhammad Saeed.
He said Altaf Husain and his cronies were promoting the politics of violence. They blocked the roads of Karachi by parking containers on the night of May 11 and shot innocent people dead the next day to prevent the people from reaching the airport to welcome the Chief Justice of Pakistan. The MQM showed the victims as its workers but was exposed by the electronic media. As many as 26 SHOs were changed in Karachi before May 12 to give free hand to MQM workers to kill people.
He said the MQM had been isolated after the May 12 mayhem and even its political allies were trying to dissociate from it. He said the MQM and the government should know that Altaf Husain and his patron President Musharraf would be responsible for any harm to Mr Khan during his visit to Karachi. —Reporter

after MQM the q league didnt spare a moment to be stupid by banning its own resident going out of lahore. they should be supporting own resident for his national right to go anywhere in pakistan by lodging protest with sindh govt.

I think Musharraf has done some good things and the country has benefitted. I was hoping that the government will last for a another 5 years to continue the work and create a bright future for Pakistan. I don't want BB or NS to come back to power. There is no real alternative at the moment. Mushy seems to be losing the plot. He is alienating his own support base. If Mushy continues to make mistakes....then I think his days are numbered.

It is not an ethnic war this is a war between rule of law and dictatorship, there is no such thing as punjabi or muhajir in the military (thank god), they follow orders of their superior. Imran is fighting for rule of law, he is working on new cancer hospital in karachi for all pakistanis not just one ethnic group. Has any other leader has done so much for his people in the history of our country? Atleast give him credit for that, I wonder when he is in power how much good he can do to this country. we need honest, educated and bold leadership which he is the only one who can provide. MQM is giving it an ethnic tint since their entire politics ar based on it.

Look who is talking? Usurpers and Opportunists from across the borders who have yet to know the concept of immigration (Hijrat) to date calling the neighbourers to Karachi as economic invaders! The city of 400,000 peaceful Sindhis back in 1947 simmers with the hatred and terrorism that Muhajirs have brought with themselves.
So quickly you forget the real reasons why Sindhi muslims, especially the GM Syed type and other waderas wanted Pakistan in the first place. They wanted freedom from the urban Sindhi hindus who controlled all the debts of the rural sindhi muslim farmers. That was one the main reason for sindh to support pakistan movement.
With this history, you have no leg to stand on when you accuse others of opportunism! Mohajirs displaced Sindhi Hindus not Sindhi Muslims who where never in majority in Karachi. And we all know how many people die in Sindhi areas of karo kari, tribal wars and dacoity. If this is your peaceful Sindhis, what would be your violent Sindhis?

Even Zia was a mohajir as he was born in Indian punjab. I think Nawaz Sharif also has some connection to India. Bhutto's are they also from India? The princely state of Hyderabad?
Punjabis are selfless are forever giving and yet are always blamed for the problems caused by others.
Punjabis are the backbone of Pakistan....the heart of Pakistan.
Who gets Sindh's revenue and eats it all up? Who gets Balochistan's gas and eats it all up? Who gets Sarhad's electricity and eats it all up?

Pakistan Army is hated all over Pakistan today because they support Punjabis stealing others resources. This is fact and burying your head in the sand will not change it. This is not an MQM thing, ask people from other provinces. Wake up and smell the lassi.

Here London produces more revenue for the government than perhaps Scotland and Wales put together, but we don't question how the money is spent. Its all one country! Many companies have their Head Offices in Karachi so its not surprising that the revenue is accounted for in Karachi. You are trying to divide the country up for your own benefits buts its all one country...run by one president and one prime minister.
