In a sensational turn of events, the BCCI has hired the services of legendary Pakistan cricketer Imran Khan as bowling coach. After reading various comments to the media by current Indian coach Greg Chappel (“Why do we need a bowling coach? We have 100s, like Imran Khan or Michael Holding on TV”), Imran Khan has apparently decided to put Chappel in his place. He approached BCCI president Sharad Pawar and an evaluation committee consisting of Sunil Gavaskar,** Zeenat Aman and now India-employed Wasim Akram :rotfl:, and made a 3 hr long presentation on why he should be bowling coach. The committee, bowled over by the sheer length of the presentation** :smiley: (as is their wont) immediately offered Imran the job.

Greg Chappel, when contacted regarding the developments, said "It’s interesting. I cannot worry about things out of my control. We’ll see how far Imran Khan will go in his pursuit. I have forwarded an email to various. :rotfl:

In addition to, let’s not forget about dozens of Shoaib Akhtars as well. :smiley:

- Imran Khan should know that India too has dozens of Akhtars who are not being availed of, but this country still has some cricketing sense (MAKARAND WAINGANKAR).

For some reason when I was looking into this thread I was hoping it was true....there can only be good in having Imran as bowling coach for the Indian team...

But a good one fnb...I guess u can be our blueaadmi....:D
